orientation session on safe and informed migration held in Peshawar

Peshawar, Pakistan: Our Migrant Resource Centres (MRCs) in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Computer Guidance College, Peshawar, organised a physical orientation session on safe and informed migration. The students who took part in the session were given information on the services provided by the MRC as well as foreign job opportunities; information on government authorities working on migration issues; identification of fake job ads; information on visas; the risks and hazards of irregular migration; and the avenues for returnees.

ICMPD hosts training workshop on Combatting Cross-Border Crime in Iraq

Baghdad, Iraq: From the 11-14 July 2021, ICMPD hosted a training workshop on Combatting Cross-Border Crime in Iraq. The workshop took place over 4 days and brought together participants from the Civil Aviation Authority, General Customs Commission, Ministry of Interior, Border Ports Commission and the Iraqi National Intelligence Service to discuss a range of cross-border related topics.

Baghdad, Iraq: Our Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) visited the Al-Waleed Vocational Training Centre to conduct awareness sessions on regular migration and the risks associated with irregular migration. In addition to introducing the services of the Migrant Resource Centre, representatives answered questions from students and provided neutral facts on migration.

First youth volunteer drive in pakistan

Lahore, Pakistan: Our Migrant Resource Centres (MRCs) in Pakistan launched their first youth volunteer drive and the first training sessions have been successfully completed. This activity prepared students to raise awareness to other young people, and in their communities, about the risks associated with irregular migration and the benefits of legal migration.
